Involvement in voluntary work is a
unique, cost-effective way to gain
life experience while travelling and
helping to bring a smile to other
people's faces. BARAKA
CHILDREN'S HOME is
inviting both local and international
volunteers to help us run our various
activities at the home. Volunteers
will not be paid any salaries and
will be expected to meet their own
expenses, including any international
flights to and from Kenya and the
attendant costs. In order to apply,
you will need to submit the following
before we can consider a placement
for you within our home. To complete
the Volunteers Application Form, you
will require:
• A
comprehensive and upto date CV.
Your CV is the one of the key ways
through which we get to know you.
It introduces you to us and helps
us in selecting volunteers wishing
to serve at BARAKA
CHILDREN HOME. Therefore
it is important that you provide with
as much detail about yourself as possible
on your CV. This includes personal
information about your hobbies and
interests etc., so that we have some
understanding of your personality,
background, education and aims for
the future.
• A
cover letter.
Please attach a cover letter to include
any information that you think we
will need in order to make a decision
about your volunteer application.
Indicate the reasons why you are interesed
in volunteering your services to BARAKA
CHILDREN HOME.
You will need to attach all the above
to the Volunteers Application Form

Volunteer
Accommodation.
Baraka offers to support Volunteers
as follows:-
- Airport Transfers
- Volunteers can Share meals with us
while accommodated at Baraka, however
no special diet will be provided.
- Two Weeks Accommodation charged at
USD 285 or Euro 210
- One Month Accommodation charged at
USD 570 or Euro 420
- We can facilitate visits to National
Parks or City Tours through Local
Travel Agents at your own cost.
- Note:
We do not cater for any Medical
expenses, Travel expenses such as
Flight Tickets or Bus Tickets and
Bottled Water.
