Thomasine was born on 27th August 1993. At the tender age of 11, Thomasine was destined to be married off to a man aged 66 in a village far off from her home. Already, 2 goats and a chicken had been paid as "dowry" in preparation of her impending "marriage".

Fortunately, and in the nick of time, she was rescued by good samaritans and brought to Baraka Children Home where she sought refuge.

She is very bright in school and loves singing and poetry.
